Sort of.
I'm not sure how I've been to these same three properties twice each and stayed in five different hotels -- let's make my life as unstable as possible, eh? -- but here I am in the middle of a corporate office park walking distance from nothing! My least favorite of all.
We are back at the most recent DC-area property, hoping to update their files (and, apparently, wave our magic wand) so that they pass their July 8 audit. Seems clear on all sides that this is not going to happen, but we're all going to buck up this week and next and do the best we can! So far, we have at least established one person to be responsible for this mess. Not surprisingly, she was less than thrilled, but someone has to start getting this stuff together if they don't want to lose their HUD funding, good standing with the agency, etc. Today was another impromptu training session, which made me exceedingly uncomfortable since I don't really think I should be training anyone on anything besides maybe "How to read the newest issue of SPIN without having to learn anything about MIA or Bono." But since the staff have never had any formal HUD training at all, I wasn't leading anyone too far astray... I hope.
Tomorrow, we'll be tracking down the residents at their day programs and having them sign release forms to try to catch up on two years of absent paperwork. Shades of Arab! Always a joy.
